Burned particles

Burned particles in powder products are detected. During the drying process of powder and granules local burning of the product can occur. Such burned particles can be detected by means of a combined system. An inline sampler model PSS™ or CAS™ removes a sample from the product stream, and detection of burned particles is initiated. If a predefined number of particles occur in the sample an alarm is provided to the control system and the process can be diverted. This ensures minimum waste of product.
